PASTOR ALFONZO "AL" MILLERPastor Alfonzo Miller (Al), as he is affectionately known, is a native of Dermott, Arkansas. Al firmly believes that his life has been shaped by tragedy as well as triumph. He experienced personal tragedy at the tender age of 12, when he lost his brother and best friend, Lee, in an automobile accident. Three weeks later, he lost his father; Rev. C.C. Miller to a heart attack shortly after he delivered the Word of God. It was during this difficult time that God was able to show His strength through the person of VeEssie Miller, Al's mother. He watched her remain steadfast in the midst of adversity and witnessed her continual proclamation, "The Lord will make a way." His life was forever changed when he asked his mom the question, "How do you remain so calm when we have all of these things going on?" Her reply was simple, yet profound, "I've learned over the years how not to concern myself with those things that I have no control over." Al vowed to live his life in that same manner after receiving that revelation. As an adult, this has helped him to stay on course even after the deaths of his four remaining brothers and his precious mother; as well as being diagnosed with, and healed of cancer in 1995. Al exclaims that God is still God, whether you're in the valley or on the mountain top. TRIUMPH: Al is a 23-year Army Veteran, and a graduate of the inaugural class of Sonship School of the Firstborn, under the leadership of his Father in the Faith, Apostle Nathaniel Holcomb.
